Install Snap: Download and install Snap from the Mac App Store for $0.99. The app is compatible with macOS including the latest version Sonoma.
Choose Modifier Key: Select a modifier key (Command, Control, Shift or Option) that will be used in combination with numbers to switch between apps.
Set Up Dock Shortcuts: Snap will automatically assign numeric shortcuts to apps in your Dock starting from the Finder. For example, Finder-1, Safari-2, Mail-3, etc.
Set Up Custom Shortcuts: You can also manually create shortcuts for any app on your Mac by selecting it from the 'Other' menu if you don't want to use Dock-based shortcuts.
