Install Codeium extension: Download and install the Codeium extension for your preferred IDE (e.g. VSCode, JetBrains IDEs, Vim, etc.) from the Codeium website or your IDE's marketplace.
Create a Codeium account: Sign up for a free Codeium account on their website if you don't already have one. This is required to use the service.
Authenticate the extension: After installing, sign into your Codeium account within the IDE to authenticate the extension. This may open a browser window or prompt you to enter a token.
Start coding: Open or create a file in your IDE and start coding as normal. Codeium will automatically provide AI-powered code suggestions as you type.
Use code completion: As you code, Codeium will show autocomplete suggestions in a popup. Press Tab to accept a suggestion.
Generate code with natural language: Use the Codeium chat or command features to generate code by describing what you want in natural language.
Refactor and explain code: Utilize Codeium's chat feature to get explanations of existing code or suggestions for refactoring.
Explore additional features: Experiment with other Codeium capabilities like generating unit tests, adding documentation, and more advanced code generation tasks.
