Download and install Upscayl: Go to upscayl.org and download the free Upscayl application for your operating system (Linux, MacOS, or Windows). Install the application on your computer.
Launch Upscayl: Open the Upscayl application on your computer.
Import your image: Click to import the low-resolution image you want to upscale. Upscayl supports common image formats like PNG, JPG, and WEBP.
Choose upscaling options: Select your desired upscaling options, such as the AI model to use and the scale factor (up to 4x). You can also enable features like sharpening if desired.
Start the upscaling process: Click the 'Upscayl' button to begin processing your image using AI upscaling.
Wait for processing: Allow Upscayl to process your image. The time required will depend on your computer's GPU and the image size.
Review the result: Once complete, Upscayl will display a before/after comparison of your original and upscaled image.
Save the upscaled image: If you're satisfied with the result, save the upscaled high-resolution image to your computer.
Adjust settings if needed: If you want to try different options, you can adjust the settings and upscale the image again to compare results.
Batch process (optional): For multiple images, you can use Upscayl's batch processing feature to upscale several images at once.
