Download and Install: Download SpyCam from the Mac App Store and install it on your Mac device
Initial Setup: Launch SpyCam and grant necessary camera/microphone permissions when prompted. Set up a password to protect access to the app settings
Configure Recording Settings: Choose recording mode (Continuous, Timed, Motion Detection, or Record on screensaver exit/unlock). Adjust video quality, length and storage settings as needed
Set Up Cloud Storage (Optional): Link your Dropbox account to automatically upload recorded clips for remote viewing. Alternatively enable iCloud sync to access videos across Apple devices
Position Camera: Point your Mac's built-in camera or external camera at the area you want to monitor (desk, door, etc)
Activate Surveillance: Click the Record button or enable automatic activation at login/launch. The app will begin recording based on your configured settings
Access Recordings: View recorded clips through the Photos app on your Mac or via Dropbox/iCloud if configured. Clips are automatically organized by date
Enable Stealth Mode (Optional): Hide the app from users and store clips deep in file structure for covert operation if needed

SpyCam offers real-time motion detection, customizable settings (video length, cooldown periods, video quality), Continuity Camera support for iPhone integration, and iCloud video preview functionality. All recorded videos are saved directly to the Photos app.
