Install Copilot for Xcode: Download and install Copilot for Xcode from the latest release or via Homebrew. Make sure to place the app in the Applications folder.
Open the app: Open Copilot for Xcode.app once to create the necessary launch agent.
Enable the extension: Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Extensions > Xcode Source Editor and enable the Copilot extension.
Grant permissions: Grant Accessibility API permissions to CopilotForXcodeExtensionService.app in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility.
Set up key bindings: Set up key bindings in Xcode settings > Key Bindings for better functionality. Search for 'copilot' to find relevant commands.
Configure suggestion feature: In the Copilot for Xcode app, go to 'Service - GitHub Copilot' or 'Service - Codeium' to set up your preferred suggestion provider.
Set up chat feature: In the app, go to 'Service - Chat Model' to configure the OpenAI model for chat functionality.
Start using in Xcode: Open Xcode and start coding. Use configured key bindings or menu options to access Copilot features like suggestions, chat, and prompt-to-code.
Customize settings: Explore additional settings in the Copilot for Xcode app to customize behavior, set up custom commands, and configure other features as needed.
