Responsible AI Institute Introduction

The RAI Institute works through several key mechanisms. It provides independent and accredited conformity assessments to ensure AI systems align with existing and emerging policies, regulations, laws, best practices, and standards for responsible technology use. These assessments are available as self-assessments, independently delivered assessments, or certifications delivered by accredited auditors. The institute also fosters a member-driven community where organizations can demonstrate leadership, enhance their responsible AI practices, and collaborate with others to define the future of AI. Additionally, RAI Institute develops frameworks, tools, and resources such as the Responsible AI Framework, which forms the foundation for their assessments across multiple dimensions of AI system evaluation and organizational maturity.
