How does Repo-Ranger work?
Repo-Ranger works by analyzing several aspects of a user's GitHub profile and activity. It assigns point values to different actions and profile statistics: +1 point for each contribution, +3 points per follower, +2 points per repository, +2 points per star received, +1 point for each fork, +2 points per pull request, +1 point per issue, and +1 point per comment. It also subtracts 1 point for each person the user follows. The tool then calculates a total score based on these metrics. Users are ranked on a leaderboard, with the top 10 scorers receiving a star emoji. Based on their scores, users also receive either a clap or poo emoji as a playful rating of their GitHub activity.
