Download and install the MotionX app: Download MotionX from the App Store if you don't already have it installed. Those who already own it can continue using it or reinstall it using the same Apple ID.
Open the MotionX app: Launch the MotionX app on your iPhone or iPad. Check for the blue globe icon in the upper right corner to confirm you have GPS service.
Select activity type: Choose the type of activity you want to track, such as hiking, running, biking, sailing, etc.
Start tracking: Tap the 'Track Recorder' option in the Menu to begin recording your route and activity data.
View maps: Access different map types like MotionX Road, MotionX Terrain, Apple Maps, Google Maps, etc. Download offline maps if needed.
Check GPS data: Monitor GPS signal strength and accuracy displayed in the app.
Add waypoints/photos: Add geo-tagged photos or waypoints along your route as desired.
Stop tracking: End your activity tracking when finished.
View stats and share: Review activity stats like distance, speed, time, altitude changes. Share results via email or social media if desired.
MotionX FAQs
MotionX-GPS and GPS-HD were removed from the App Store. However, users who already own the apps can continue using them and can reinstall them from their purchase history if needed.
