Sign up for an account: Go to sqlpilot.ai and click the 'Sign Up' button to create a free account. No credit card is required for the free plan.
Connect your database: Add a connection to your PostgreSQL or MySQL database. SQLPilot supports adding multiple database connections.
Write your prompt: In the query editor, write a prompt in natural language describing the SQL query you want to generate. Mention the specific tables you want to use.
Choose AI model: Select which GPT model you want to use to generate the query - options include GPT-3.5, GPT-4, and GPT-4o.
Generate query: Click the generate button to have the AI create an SQL query based on your natural language prompt.
Review and edit query: Review the generated SQL query and make any necessary edits or refinements.
Execute query: Run the query against your connected database to get results.
View results: View the query results in the results pane. You can download results as a CSV file.
Iterate as needed: Refine your prompt or edit the query and re-run as needed to get the desired results.
