Get access to Gemini Advanced: Gemini Live is only available to Gemini Advanced subscribers. You need to sign up for a Google One AI Premium plan to get access.
Update your Google app: Make sure you have the latest version of the Google app installed on your Android device.
Open the Gemini app: Launch the Gemini app on your Android phone.
Tap the voice icon: Look for and tap the voice icon in the Gemini app to start Gemini Live.
Choose a voice: Select one of the 10 new voice options for Gemini Live.
Start talking: Begin speaking to Gemini Live. You can have a natural conversation, asking questions or giving prompts.
Interact naturally: Speak at your own pace. You can interrupt Gemini mid-response to add new information or ask for clarification.
Use in background: Gemini Live can work in the background or when your phone is locked, allowing for continuous conversation.
End the conversation: Say 'Stop' to Gemini Live or look for a persistent notification to end the chat when you're done.
