Connected Papers is a unique visual tool that helps researchers and scientists find, explore, and understand academic papers relevant to their field through interactive graphical representations.

Go to the Connected Papers website: Visit https://www.connectedpapers.com in your web browser
Enter a seed paper: On the homepage, enter the DOI, title, or URL of a paper you're interested in exploring further
Generate the graph: Click the 'Build Graph' button to generate a visual map of related papers
Explore the graph: The resulting graph shows related papers as nodes, with size indicating citation count and proximity/lines showing similarity. Hover over nodes to see paper details.
Use the Prior Works feature: Click the 'Prior Works' button to see a list of influential papers that came before the papers in your graph
Use the Derivative Works feature: Click the 'Derivative Works' button to see more recent papers that cite or build on the papers in your graph
Expand paper details: Click the 'Expand' button to see a detailed list view of all the papers in your graph
Download or export results: Use the 'Download' button to export the bibliography list or import directly to reference managers like Zotero
Build new graphs: Click on any paper in your results to generate a new graph using that paper as the seed
