Export InDesign File: Export your InDesign document in .idml format by going to File > Export in InDesign
Sign Up/Login: Create an account on InDesign Translator website or login to your existing account (7-day free trial available)
Upload Document: Upload your exported .idml file to the InDesign Translator platform
Extract Text: The system will automatically extract all text frames from your document and prepare them for translation
Share with Translator: Share the translation link with your translator - they can access it without needing to sign in
Translate Content: Either use the 'Translate all' button for automatic AI translation of all text frames, or manually translate/edit individual text frames in the browser interface
Review Translations: Review the translations and make any necessary edits. You can accept all translations at once or select specific ones
Download Translated File: Once translation is complete, download the translated file which maintains all original styles and formatting
Open in InDesign: Open the downloaded file in InDesign - all styles will be preserved with only the text replaced in the new language
