QueryX Howto

Set up database structure: Provide QueryX with information about your database structure (tables, columns, joins) by uploading a JSON file describing the schema. You can generate this automatically using the 'DB structure extraction bash script' available for download in QueryX Chat.

Configure field descriptions and business rules: Use the QueryX Chat config sub-menu to add descriptions for database fields and define any specific business rules or calculations needed for accurate query generation.

Open QueryX Chat interface: Access the QueryX Chat interface, which provides a simple chat-like environment for interacting with your database.

Ask questions in natural language: Type or dictate your questions about the data in your own language. QueryX will translate these into SQL queries.

Review generated SQL and results: QueryX will display the generated SQL query and the results retrieved from your database. Review for accuracy.

Refine or follow up: Ask follow-up questions to dig deeper into the data. You can select previous answers to provide context for new queries.

Provide feedback: Use the thumbs up/down icons to indicate if the generated queries were satisfactory. This helps improve QueryX's performance over time.

Integrate with other tools (optional): For advanced use cases, utilize QueryX's APIs and open-source sample code to integrate with existing BI tools or software.
